Hypnosis to Quit Smoking
Finally, a reason to be a quitter.
Hypnosis to Quit Smoking
You already know smoking is bad for you. You've known for years. And if knowing was enough to make you stop, you would have stopped already.
The reason quitting is so hard isn't lack of information or lack of desire. It's that the habit lives in a part of your mind that willpower can't reach.
Every craving, every trigger, every automatic reach for a cigarette is driven by the unconscious mind — the part that runs on patterns, not logic. That's exactly where hypnosis works.
Why willpower alone rarely works
Most quitting methods (patches, gum, cold turkey) work at the conscious level. They manage the symptoms of nicotine withdrawal but they don't touch the underlying pattern that makes you reach for a cigarette in the first place. The stress trigger. The habit after meals. The automatic response to boredom or anxiety.
Hypnosis goes directly to the unconscious mind and works with the pattern itself. Not by suppressing the craving through sheer force, but by changing how your mind relates to smoking altogether.
Many people find that after hypnosis the desire to smoke simply isn't there anymore. Not white-knuckled resistance. Genuine disinterest.
The research is compelling
A meta-analysis of 600 studies involving 72,000 people found that hypnosis was three times more effective than nicotine patches and 15 times more effective than willpower alone for quitting smoking. A University of Washington study reported a 91% success rate helping smokers quit using hypnosis. And people who quit with hypnosis were twice as likely to still be smoke-free two years later than those who quit on their own.
You're in very, very good company
Matt Damon smoked heavily for 16 years before using hypnosis to quit. He went on The Tonight Show and said it was the best decision he ever made and that "it works." Drew Barrymore was a 2-pack-a-day smoker for years — hypnosis is what finally worked for her. Ewan McGregor described the experience as "effortless" and hasn't touched a cigarette since. Adele had a 20-a-day habit that was threatening to end her singing career. After five years of failed attempts to quit, one session of hypnosis with a London hypnotherapist changed everything. And Ben Affleck, a pack-a-day smoker for over 20 years, finally quit through hypnosis when he found out he was going to be a father.
These aren't people who lacked willpower. They just found the right tool.
What we work on together:

Understanding what smoking is actually doing for you and why that changes everything
-
Reframing your relationship with smoking including challenging the story that quitting has to be hard
-
Building a genuine identity as a non-smoker
-
Staying smoke-free long term without white-knuckling it
What life looks like on the other side
No more stepping outside in the cold. No more calculating how many you have left. No more that low hum of guilt that follows you around. No more planning your day around when you can smoke. Just freedom. And the quiet satisfaction of knowing you did it.
Every smoker reaches a point where they decide they're done.
Not just trying to quit, but actually done. If you're at that moment, or even just starting to wonder if you could be, let's talk about what's possible.
